MOLYPAUL 942 FAV is a refractory solid lubricant developed for the surface coating of ceramic materials. MOLYPAUL 942 FAV is a high-viscosity, thixotropic paste based on a combination of solids and an additive package subject to the application. MOLYPAUL 942 FAV only shows a minor shrinking effect in the drying process. MOLYPAUL 942 FAV does not develop fumes under the influence of temperature and is uncritical to use.
MOLYPAUL 942 FAV reduces the surface porosity of ceramic surfaces. MOLYPAUL 942 FAV effectively fills surface imperfections. Based on its reduced shrinking effect it is especially suitable for recycled slide plates and as primer coat prior to a subsequent solid lubricant coating.
MOLYPAUL 942 FAV shall be applied on dirt and dust-free surfaces by scraper or spatula.
