ELDORADO PR-5044 is a non-drying, high performance, peroxide-activated paint and primer remover, for removal of durable polyurethane and epoxy paint systems. It is non embrittling with a low odor profile, allowing its use in maintenance environments. The material shows excellent performance on typical aerospace primers. Properties 1. Viscous liquid – clings to vertical and underside surfaces. 2. Contains no chlorinated solvents. 3. Very low evaporation rate, allowing application overnight. 4. Contains hydrogen peroxide (<7%). 5. Contains no hazardous air pollutants (HAPS). 6. Approved by or conforms to: BAC 5725, DPM 5549, Boeing D6-17487, Douglas CSD #1, Embraer, and WR-ALC Purchase Description Use Spray or brush PR-5044 onto the surface to be stripped. Dwell time is dependent upon temperature and airflow, but expect from 2-8 hours. Once stripper has loosened paint, squeegee surface to remove loosened paint and stripper residues. If second application of PR-5044 is required, apply after removing loosened paint if a single coat system, agitate with brushes if multiple coats. Once operation is complete, surface must be cleaned with alkaline soap. Surface must be cleaned with an alkaline material within 1 hour of stripper removal. When spraying alkaline soap, pay close attention to directing spray into skin laps and seams. Rinse all surfaces thoroughly. The preferred temperature for use of PR-5044 is 60°- 85°F. Low temperatures will see a reduction in performance. Important! All parts of application equipment that come in contact with PR-5044 must be made of stainless steel or plastic, such as PVC, polyethylene, or polyester. Use plastic buckets and synthetic bristle brushes. Do not contaminate PR-5044 with other paint removers, wipe solvents or chromates.
